To be fair, she just can't help herself. One is reminded of a certain theory, made popular in the late 60's, known as the Peter Principle:
"[I]n a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence", meaning that employees tend to be promoted until they reach a position at which they cannot work competently."
AKA: HHS Secretary Shecantbeserious.
Because killing the market for child-only health insurance. muddying the waters as to what is and is not a covered preventive care procedure, and killing actual jobs just isn't enough, Ms Kathy has decided that ObamneyCare© needs to "[improve] the health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities [by] training health professionals in "cultural competency"; and developing definitions of sexual orientation and gender identity."
So Christians and Jews are forced to pay for "health care" which is in direct contradiction to their beliefs, while the LBGTBLT Community is given extra consideration.
Isn't that special?
Sexual preferences are personal, private decisions, and we make no judgement calls regarding them. But where in the bill we had to pass to learn what's in it does it require that sexual identity is now a "special class" deserving of "special benefits?"
As with all of these "feel good" insurance mandates, it is the tax- and premium-payer that pays the price, in the form of higher insurance premiums and health care costs.
Sheesh.
